We are here to close the care gap by connecting our community with practitioners who truly see and respect them. HGHC is built on three pillars:

Founded in 2020 by twin siblings Shantrice and Sean, HGHC was born from a need for culturally safe healthcare spaces. With roots in Black Caribbean heritage, we envisioned a platform where Black woman, femmes and uterus holders could find providers who honor both clinical expertise and ancestral wisdom.

We believe in showcasing healthcare providers who look like us and understand our lived experiences. Seeing Black practitioners in both medical and holistic spaces builds trust, reduces fear, and encourages more people to seek care.
Healing is not just individual, it’s collective. We believe in building networks of care where support is shared and wisdom flows between generations. HomeGurl HealthCare is as much about connection as it is about care, fostering a space where our community uplifts and heals together.
Modern medicine often dismisses traditional healing, but HGHC honors both. We believe ancestral wisdom—herbal remedies, birth work, energy healing—is a powerful complement to clinical care. We uplift reiki healers, herbalists, doulas, and midwives alongside professionals other professionals.
